Orlando, FL (September 20, 2012) — After 23 years as a chef in Orlando, Chef Jamie McFadden is still following his passion of creating gourmet cuisines using the freshest ingredients available.  In 1998, it led him to start his catering business, Cuisiniers’ Catered Cuisine and Events.  Now, fast-forwarding to 2013, that same passion is leading Chef McFadden and Cuisiniers in an entirely new direction.

Enter John Rife, real estate developer and founder of the Winter Park Harvest Festival.  As an avid supporter of the local food movement, Rife recently purchased a 14,000 square foot building in the Audubon Park neighborhood of Orlando and is planning an indoor farmers’ market of sorts.  The “East End Market” will be complete with budding artisan vendors, a community kitchen, a vegetable garden, and, if things go as planned, Chef Jamie McFadden and Cuisiniers’ new home.

“The opportunity was there to surround ourselves with not only the best Orlando has to offer, but, more importantly, like-minded, community-conscious individuals and businesses,” says McFadden of Cuisiniers’ recent decision to make the move.  “It’s a bold move, but we feel that it so proudly depicts who we are as a business, and what our cuisine is really about.”

Chef McFadden has a history of making community-conscious decisions, both in business and personally.  In addition to buying local ingredients for Cuisiniers, Chef Jamie also runs the PEAS Foundation with a mission to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to food insecure households in the Central Florida.

“Supporting farms and businesses in the local community is not only the right thing to do, but it promises guests the freshest, purest ingredients available,” says McFadden.  “We are just excited to be part of such a vibrant, locally-focused business community.”
